- In this seminar we will investigate the effect of Financial Technology on consumer Financial Health. More specifically, we will examine how digital product innovations by Neobanks and -brokers influence the behavior of private consumers and as a consequence their financial outcomes. In this context we will learn exciting concepts from behavioral economics and apply them to financial products we use in our everday life. The seminar topics will be structrued according to the following product categories: Payments, Budgeting, Saving, Investing, Borrowing.

Digital Finance Lab: Exploring Financial Health & Innovation

- This course introduces Financial Health as an emerging field in applied financial research. You will work with representative survey data, interpret key indicators, and derive practical implications from empirical findings. In cooperation with the Financial Health Initiative e.V., you will apply these skills by contributing to the current Financial Health Report, further developing the existing Financial Health scoring tool, and formulating recommendations to strengthen Financial Health in Germany.
